I have been browsing and shopping for things that I would just love to have. For instance I would have loved to get these Birth Announcements, when any of my kids were born!

More than three million viewers tuned in to NBC last Friday to watch the second Walmart and Procter & Gamble-produced TV movie “The Jensen Project.”

Shampoo & Conditoner:

These two products actually smell phenomenal. Nothing too strong but not to the point where you can’t smell them at all. I like that about smelling hair products. I want it to make my hair smell great along with washing and conditioning it. The shampoo has a great texture if you will (not too runny or watery) and lathers quite well so you don’t have to use an abundance to make you feel like you are actually washing your hair. The conditioner did seem a little watery, but still conditioned my hair well and I didn’t have to throw on extra conditioner or leave in treatments afterward.

Night Cream Treatment, Eye Cream & Day Cream:

The minute you think cream, you think overly oily, extra creamy lotion type of product that you don’t want to use because you feel like you are adding an extra layer of muck onto your skin. These are DIFFERENT. With a little to no little smell they all apply easy, generously and smoothly. No extra oily or cakey feeling throughout the day or night. They moisturize and leave your skin feeling almost refreshed after sinking deep into your skin.

Daily Lotion:

If you know me, you know that I own at least 50 bottles of lotion and like them for various reasons. This lotion again has a very lovely smell but nothing overpowering in the least. It moisturizes well and lasts quite awhile. I will not claim for it to last 24 hours or anything of the sorts, but it lasts long enough that you won’t have to carry the bottle with you everywhere you go! It’s not watery nor does this leave you feeling like you’ve just taken a lotion bath in grease. Love that!

The minute my children saw this book they said “Mom that is so messed up!” Along with other children who cam into my home. Just the name of the book incites a fun reaction – I couldn’t have been more excited to open this book and start reading!

There are 8 chapters in this book, 7 of them touching on the 7 Deadly Sins from “Nurturing an Enormous Ego” (pride) to “Condoning Sensual Gratification” (lust). With chapter 8 being about instilling faith -”Whatever you do – don’t!”.

How To Mess Up Your Child’s Life is not your every day how to raise kids dialogue styled book. It’s bringing common sense to the forefront. It’s helping our own selves remember and understand as parents our actions, reactions, ideals and vocalization of each – affect us as parents and our children.

In the chapter touching on envy, there is a section that points out how a popular phrase was coined – giving credit to William Shakespeare – it ends with this; “Shakespeare reminds us of why envy is considered such and ugly vice. What it can’t possess, it seeks to destroy.” (excerpt from book)

A tremendous book, that while I said – brings common sense to the forefront – still has philosophical touch with historical stories intertwined. A MUST read for any parent!

This is an extremely resourceful book.  One that I truly wish I had when I was having any one of my three children. I know we are not supposed to regret the birth of our children, but with my oldest daughter it was a truly tough labor process. One that I rushed through, had complications and was very painful. While I was young, I really did need resources and understanding about the complete birth experience. By my third child, I felt more like a pro and the birth experience was much better than that of my first. Obviously.
