Famous Dave’s BBQ

Today Brent and I decided to get outside for a bit and enjoy the weather. I have been in the house with horrible mouth pain and spent far too much time at the dentist this past week – so outside was just the cure. We ended up being window shoppers, which I will post about later on today or tomorrow, then sat and enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Famous Dave’s BBQ in Gilbert.

Brent and I’s mouth was watering the minute we walked in and we just new that we were going to love the food. We got there right when they opened so we were sat first and greeted wonderfully! We both ordered sweet tea, hard to find when you aren’t in the south (Tristan of course got sweet tea too!) and drooled over the menu having a hard time deciding what to order to eat!

I went with a small garden salad, which in actuality was gigantic for just a side salad (AWESOME) and a loaded baked potato with brisket. First off, I haven’t had a great loaded baked potato in about 8 years since I ate at a hole in the wall place called Waller County Line BBQ in Texas. The food was delicious and I made sure that added the Devil’s Spit sauce to my potato.

Tristan got mac n cheese with some yummy apples. Brent ordered the Texas Manhandler with Fries. I’m pretty sure before I got one bite in, he ate his whole sandwich — it was THAT good. We also made sure to buy a bottle of the Devil’s Spit sauce before leaving.

In total our bill, including tip was less than $40!!! Sooo awesome and definitely a place we will go back to visit soon!
