Seventh Generation Review & Giveaway
In April when I was going Green during Earth Day, well during that whole week – I introduced you to many companies that could help you take those steps. They helped me take those steps. Now I get to introduce you to another company that can help you go even further. I enjoy learning new things and this company has taught me a lot in the Green department.
I was able to review some of their Green Cleaning Products. I for the most part do not mind cleaning, but I am always concerned about spraying a chemical filled cleaning product near my children. On top of that have you ever used bleach and other chemicals to clean a bathroom and feel like your lungs are going to burst? I don’t like the feeling nor the idea. So I asked Seventh Generation to show me a new way to clean and not feel the chemical burn!
Let me give you some information on Seventh Generation before I tell you my opinion -
Seventh Generation is committed to becoming the world’s most trusted brand of authentic, safe, and environmentally-responsible products for a healthy home. For 20 years, the closely held Burlington, Vermont-based company has been at the forefront of a cultural change in consumer behavior and business ethics.
One of the country’s first self-declared “socially responsible” companies, Seventh Generation is a business that operates according to a new and different set of principles and values that in many ways are a marked departure from those long considered “traditional.” Its business practice is focused on offering people avenues to express their idealism, passion, and commitment to causes larger than themselves at every point along its supply chain—from suppliers and partners to shareholders, customers and its own staff.
The company derives its name from the Great Law of the Iroquois that states, “In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.” Every time you use a Seventh Generation product you are making a difference by saving natural resources, reducing pollution, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.
So what products did I get to use and how do I feel about them? Well I got to use their Healthy Home Kit. From a toilet bowl cleaner to glass cleaner. So how did it withstand a family of fives cleaning needs?
1. It smells alright. A couple of them had an unusual odor that Brent was not to fond of. The others smelled just clean. No harsh burning smell at all. (like with chemical cleaning products) Pretty much pleasant in the grand scheme of it all.
2. They each cleaned just as well as any leading chemical cleaning product. There truly was no difference how any part of my house came out clean. Even the toughest messes on my stove were cleaned just as well.
3. Again no problems with chemicals at all. This is a huge plus.
I have to say I do recommend Seventh Generation for any cleaning needs. And now I get to offer you readers your own Healthy Home Kit like below.
