Sports Promoter SCAM SCAM SCAM!
So here’s the deal. I have tossed and turned and wondered every second I was awake if I should post this. One I didn’t want to be the one “meddling” in others affairs, but then I quickly snapped to and this SCAM could be affecting numerous of people in this hard hit economy.
So here is how the SCAM works. You go perusing online job ads, on websites like Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, etc. You see an amazing job ad for Sports Promotion. They pay tremendously. You are broke, the economy sucks, so this is your ticket back into a normal life. But a quick ticket and an easy one.
You shoot them your resume and wait for the word, still perusing other job ads.
Then they email you. A fancy schmancy email telling you stories of grandeur. You are excited. You hop on this bandwagon and speak with them on the phone.
They then ask you a serious amount of questions. Is it Thursday? Is it 2009? Are you a male? Are you breathing? Is this information correct? You ramble on at the mouth, saying yes to it all. Unthinking that these slimy creeps are about to take you for everything they can.
They need your credit card number to charge you $9.60 or $19.60. They will send you the promotion flyers for their company to distribute at sporting events. Cool. Sweet. No harm no foul. And if it’s a sham, or in this case, SCAM, your out 2o G’s at the most right?!
WRONG!
2 days later you check your account statement and Jay, Brian, Shawn, Jake or whatever name this person “supposedly” is, robbed you of $960.00 or $1,960.o0.
You call them. Argue with them. You want your money back. They can take this job and shove it. Along with the flyers. Fine. They offer you $500.00 of your monies back in “good faith” if you sign some “good faith resignation”. Or you can transfer the balance to a credit card, that you are supposed to give them and they will “pay” of your interest. WHAT THE HELL?!?!?! ARE YOU HIGH?!?!?!
Unfortunately this happened to my brother in law recently. Unfortunately he had to deal with this drama. At the end of the post I will give you the company and the websites associated with this SCAM! My brother in law immediately contacted his bank and filed a dispute on the charges. His bank is awesome and they are working with him wonderfully on this matter. We’ve contacted the FTC, the Attorney General of Arizona and California (state the company is based out of), the local police department, Internet Crime Complaint Center, BBB and filed a rip off report on the site (Rip Off Report). I’ve tweeted. Now I’m blogging.
When I finally decided to investigate farther, I found that my brother in law has NOT been the only person attacked and stolen from by this company. They call themselves reputable. Upstanding. All employees are happy to work for them. All one employees I bet.
They suck you in, during times of economic hardship. They sweet talk their way into your pocket. It’s a fraud and a ridiculous SCAM. I seriously hope that by my blogging and his willingness to go forward with reporting them, that they lose the ability to attack unsuspecting consumers. Please keep this in mind and spread the word. Please.
Here are the websites and the “company” name of the above scammers:
Graphics Today – Based out of Montana and California. No direct website and most current address is in Lake Forest, California. Has an F rathing with the BBB in California.

www.gameday-usa.net
www.531854.info

If you or anyone you know, has been scammed by this company, please take the steps to report them and stop them! There are ways to get this ended, or oust them.

This just happened to me with the company wiht score. The police do not help saying it’s a civil matter. The cop actually talked to this guy twice and didn’t think it was a scam. I’m dealing with this issue right now.
Glad your brother in law and you are fighting this and letting others know. Scammers are despicable.
Good for you for posting this! I hate how some companies prey on people who are just trying to support their families.
Mrs. Fish sent me over and I am glad I dropped by!

That is just awful! I am so sorry this happened to him. I’m glad to hear that his bank is working on his side. Companies like this should be hunt down, and the people behind them put in jail. Good for you all for pursing action.
I don’t understand people like that. We are all hurting, and they are taking advantage of it. And what is even worse is in most cases they never even get caught! Yay for you standing up and naming names! You go girl!
