NO WAY!
Now that the Brodie is heading back to school, planning things are harder because she only gets certain days etc off. Her school has already posted the 08-09 Calendar. So I know when all her days off are! Yay!
Brent’s schedule is pretty normal. 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off. But with Christmas nearing and at work they have a HUGE project that they MUST do at the beginning of November, it looks like it will be 4 on, 1 off, 7 on then guess what….CHRISTMAS. He is working a 6 weeker right now. Well so it seems. But it is Alaska. Things could change.
So what is all this talk about planning etc about. Well…welcome to Greer Panic. Or Mrs. Greer Panic. Summing it all up, I’ve got about one month of Brent being home until he’s home for 3 weeks at CHRISTMAS TIME. CHRISTMAS. CHRISTMAS. Holy crap, where has this year gone. It just started like, 2,3,7 weeks ago right?!?!?! No such luck.
I have already started planning Christmas. I know it’s only August, but for us…it’s just around the corner. So in light of my new discovery…I asked my kids what they wanted for Christmas. I guess I can start shopping early. I already have some ideas as to what I want to get them, but I wanted some input. So you get The Greer Kids’ responses….(mind you I told them if you could just have one thing what would it be)
Tristan:
A baby bottle. That’s it. Just a baby bottle.
Dayton:
A big Power Rangers Set.
Brodie:
A cell phone. An I-Pod. A VW Bug. Nintendo DS. New TV.
Notice my 7, almost 8, going on 16 year old answer.
WHAT
THE
HECK?!?!
Can I have that too? And to add to my list…could someone make this year slow down just a little bit?
Thanks.
